    Dear Sirs

I am a triathlete based in the UK but have mixed parentage – my father is a English and my mother is Nepali. However, through marriage I have a Tibetan uncle who lives with my family in Sikkim, and also Darjeeling.

I was wondering if there would be a way of receiving recognition to compete for Tibet in my triathlon competitions, as well as the other sporting events I participate in (cycling, running, swimming). I am elite standard and have been asked to compete in Team GB age group trials but I would rather do something good for my family who I care deeply for. I have also qualified for the European Half Ironman Championships in June.

I am a businessman, aged 31, and would be happy to fund myself and perhaps even look to help develop any Tibetan triathletes who are interested in the sport.

Let me know if the above is possible, it would be an honour to compete in the Tibet colours are increase awareness of a beautiful country with a great history.

    Thank you,

    Matt Baldock
